FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - Coronavirus

Do I need to book?

Yes. We’re opening for pre-booked sessions only to ensure we stay within our maximum capacity. Check availability and make your booking online now.

Do I need to wear a mask?

All attendees are requested to wear a face covering over their mouth and nose unless exempt for medical reasons.

We have provided auto-dispensing sanitiser stations throughout the venue and ask all attendees to sanitise their hands during their visit.

How many people can play at once?

For the safety of guests and staff we are continuing to limit the capacity of our venue.

The maximum number of participants in Exclusive venue use bookings is 16 persons.

In addition, we are limiting the number of attendees who are not participating in the Laser Quest games.

Individuals from separate households should maintain 2 metre (approx 6.5ft) social distancing wherever possible.

What's changed when we arrive? How does it all work now?

As part of our Covid-secure measures, you’ll be asked to wait outside the main entrance doors at your stated ‘Arrival Time’ where your Mission Controller will greet you.

They will explain the procedure for hand sanitising before commencing your mission. Every player chooses a game codename after which the game objectives and safety rules will be explained. Once briefed, players will enter the airlock, one by one, and put on their laser packs ready to enter the arena and commence their game!

How long does a visit to Laser Quest last?

We have revised our game time slots and are thrilled to offer our new Covid-secure packages.

Exclusive venue packages play 3 missions (approximately 7 minutes game play each) with a choice of SOLO or TEAM game formats, short intervals for scorecards and rehydration in between. During your visit we allow time for hand sanitising, safety and mission briefings, 3 x Laser Quest missions, and scorecard presentations. Total duration of your visit from arrival to departure is 55 minutes.

General Public packages play 3 SOLO missions (approximately 7 minutes game play each) with an interval for scorecards and rehydration in between. During your visit we allow time for hand sanitising, safety and mission briefings, 3 x Laser Quest SOLO missions, and scorecard presentations. Total duration of your visit from arrival to departure is 55 minutes.

How old do you have to be to play?

General Public games require all players to be at least 7 years old.

At least one of the participants must be a responsible adult if any participants are under 15 years old.

Owing to the nature of the game and size of the equipment, players must be over 1.1m in height.

Adults who are accompanied by children are responsible for supervising them at all times and should follow social distancing guidelines.

For your safety team members will maintain 2 metres social distance from your group. This means they are unable to provide any physical assistance putting on and taking off the laser packs.

Is the viewing area still open?

Our viewing gallery is available. Capacity limits apply during general public sessions.

Exclusive Venue packages only: any non-participating guests are welcome experience the excitement first hand with unrestricted access to the game arena or chill out in the main reception seating area.

Can I reschedule my booking due to coronavirus?

Yes, as part of our Coronavirus Guarantee we are waiving all rescheduling fees on original bookings until further notice, so you can reschedule your original booking without incurring any additional charges.

If any member of your group is self-isolating or has coronavirus symptoms:

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste

you must not visit and should contact us immediately to reschedule your booking.

In the event Laser Quest is unable to open due to a mandatory government lockdown, affected customers will be offered the choice of rescheduling or receiving a full refund.

How often are the laser blasters cleaned?

The lasers are cleaned after each session. A combination of reduced capacity, hand sanitiser stations and restricting booking times ensure we have sufficient time to thoroughly sanitise our lasers after every customer group.

What else are your team doing to keep everyone safe?

For your safety team members will maintain 2 metres social distance from your group. This means they are unable to provide any physical assistance putting on and taking off the laser packs. Any team member showing signs of illness is required to follow government self isolation guidance.

What's happened to your amazing Hosted Birthday party package?

We understand this will be disappointing for many of our customers but unfortunately we are currently unable to provide our hosted party package. However, we are looking forward to offering our amazing hosted birthday party packages again in the future when conditions allow.

What food do you offer?

The kitchen is temporarily closed for food and drinks. Customers are welcome to bring their own drinks – preferably in reusable bottles. We ask that customers please refrain from bringing in food for the players as this will leave insufficient time for them to complete all their Laser Quest missions.

Can I bring a birthday cake?

EXCLUSIVE VENUE bookings are welcome to bring birthday cakes. We recommend individual Cupcakes for guests to take home rather than a cake to share. We hope you will understand that while it is now not possible for staff to set up the candles or cut and wrap up the cake afterwards, customers can do this themselves. Please be mindful that spending time cutting up the cake is time you could be spending playing Laser Quest!

GENERAL PUBLIC bookings: Unfortunately, due to time restraints and the impact on the game time for other customers in the session, birthday cakes are not permitted.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - General

I have an injury/non-Covid-19 medical condition. Can I still play?

We are NOT qualified to give medical advice about an individual’s suitability to play.

Any person with an injury or non-Covid-19 related medical condition should consider that Laser Quest is a game that requires significant physical exertion.

Laser Quest is played with other people in a dark, unfamiliar environment with music, flashing lighting effects and possibly theatrical haze.

Laser Quest is not suitable for anyone wearing a Pace-Maker or similar device.

If you are in any doubt we suggest consulting your GP/qualified medical professional so you can make an informed decision as all players participate at their own risk.

Is Laser Quest safe?

Laser Quest is completely safe providing the safety rules are followed; players are briefed on the safety rules, and Laser Quest staff members are on hand to supervise the games.

What happens if fewer players turn up on the day?

To ensure booking availability is fair to all our customers, we do not offer any refunds for no shows.
